Most people who join a DevOps course in Pune already have a job. They work in Hinjewadi, Kharadi or Magarpatta from Monday to Friday, and the only realistic time to study is the weekend. A weekend batch can work well, as long as you know what you are signing up for.
Who weekend DevOps batches are for
- System administrators and support engineers moving into DevOps
- Developers who want to own deployments end to end
- Testers who want to move into automation and pipelines
- Anyone in IT who cannot take time off to study full time
If you are a fresher with free weekdays, a weekday batch may get you job-ready sooner. If you are working, weekends are usually the only option that lasts.
What a weekend schedule really looks like
Our flagship DevOps Certification Programme runs for four months in weekend batches. In practice, a working week looks like this:
- Saturday and Sunday: live sessions with a trainer, covering new topics and walking through lab work
- Weekday evenings: a few hours of practice in your own AWS and Azure sandbox, finishing assignments
- Every few weeks: a project milestone that ends up on your GitHub
The live sessions are not the hard part. The weekday practice is. Students who block out three or four short sessions during the week finish much stronger than those who only touch the lab on weekends.
Classroom or online on weekends?
You can attend weekend sessions at our centre in Pimple Saudagar or join the same batch live online. Classroom suits people who live or work nearby, roughly 20 minutes from Hinjewadi Phase 1, and like learning face to face. Online suits people across the city or outside Pune. Both get the same trainers, sandbox, recordings and placement support.
How to make a weekend course work alongside your job
- Pick fixed practice slots. For example, 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Treat them like meetings.
- Use recordings to catch up if work runs late, and do not let a missed session snowball into a missed module.
- Connect the course to your current job. If you can automate even one task at work with what you learn, it sticks.
- Tell your manager. Many teams in Pune are happy to give you a small DevOps task once they know you are learning.
- Start the job search before the course ends. Resume reviews and mock interviews in the last month help you apply while the material is fresh.
What you will cover in four months
Linux administration and scripting, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, AWS and Azure DevOps services, and production monitoring. By the end you should have 6 to 8 projects on GitHub. The full syllabus lists every module.
Frequently asked questions
Can I really learn DevOps only on weekends?
Yes, if you add weekday practice. The live weekend sessions teach the concepts and unblock you; the weekday lab time builds the skill.
What if I miss a weekend?
Every session is recorded, and you can also attend the same session with a later batch.
When does the next weekend batch start?
Batches are always open, and we run several at a time. Message us on WhatsApp for current timings and fees.
