Over six weeks you will learn to install and configure a Kubernetes cluster, manage the lifecycle of applications on it, and keep it healthy. Topics include cluster architecture and installation, configuration and validation, networking and services, security and RBAC, scheduling and pod placement, cluster maintenance and upgrades, monitoring cluster events, and troubleshooting failures.

In production 1000’s of containers, are deployed and managed. It is essential to maintain a zero downtime i.e. if one of the boxes fails, the other needs to start. This is where Kubernetes can help to resolve the problem.
It is a framework designed to run the system on a distributed network without any interruptions. It is easy to discover a container using a DNS name or an IP address. It can balance the load and distribute traffic in the network. It can automatically create or remove old containers as the need arises. It stores and manages all types of sensitive information like passwords, tokens, and so on.

The concepts are learnable in a few weeks, but it takes practice to get comfortable troubleshooting. That is why most of this track is lab work on real clusters rather than slides.
